Qlik Luminary

Brian Booden

I’m Brian, and I have been running Qlik Dev Group and consequently, Qlik Meetup events in Scotland for over 5 years. It’s a pleasure to work with Andrew and George on this fantastic project.

I’m a 5 time Qlik Luminary, and owner of DataGlow IT, a small Business Intelligence consultancy specialising in Qlik solutions, which I started a little over 3 years ago. I have also created 7 extensions for Qlik Sense, which includes the Radar Chart currently available in the Visualisation Bundle of Qlik Sense since February 2019.

Outside of work, I’m a huge basketball fan and an avid fantasy sports competitor (analytics enhanced, of course!). I have won the globally renowned Rotoguru Hoops Invitational Chmpionship (RIHC) on 2 occasions, and rank #1 in RIHC All Time list.

Andrew McIlwrick

I am currently a Service Delivery Manager for Differentia Consulting where I am responsible for all aspects of customer delivery including best practices, builds, training and project management. I also enjoy supporting the company marketing and pre-sales activities, and am currently building a new Qlik product and taking it to market. Prior to joining Differentia, I worked for many years in a major US bank leading multiple Qlik project deliveries in client, infrastructure and productivity analytics spaces.

2020 is my second year being awarded Qlik Luminary status. The highlight of the year has been participating in the very first Qlik Data Brilliant – Unplugged event for Mercy Ships.

In my spare time, I have the pleasure of walking a miniature schnauzer called Coco !
